I'd
like to thank the super cool people that rooted for Josh and me, Josh
and I appreciate your support!
I'm
also going to answer some questions now....My official FAQ section:
Q.
Will you write me back or answer my questions? A. Yes, but I
can't respond to you on your Xanga page...it takes too long and I'm
using dial-up. Email me, cheryltenbush at gmail dot com.
Q.
What nationality are you? A. I'm an American, dammit.
I'm also a smart ass, so if you're trying to find out my ethinic
background by asking me my nationality, I will ridicule you for your
ignorance. Hee hee.
Q.
What's your ethnicity? A. I'm half Asian, half Caucasian.
But does it really matter? I'm Asian, Asian chicks rule, end of
story.
Q.
What are you going to do with the money? A. Set the
appropriate amount aside for taxes, give my tithe to my Church (thank
God for blessing me), pay off my high interest student loans (I'll
continue to pay off the lower interest ones), and invest in a house.
Q.
You're not going to do anything fun with the money? A. I
think knowing that I'm not so much in debt and that my future is
secure is fun enough!
Q. Are
you and Wes still together? A. Yup! Wes and I lived happily
ever after...Well, sort of. We just moved to LA last week.
We're happy, but we're still working on the ever after part.
Q. You
seem too smart to be on the show, how did you get cast? A.
All the girls on the show were very intelligent in their own way.
All but 1 went to college. In fact, I'll assess all of the
girls:
Amanda-she's
the only girl that didn't go to college, but she did really well in
the elimination room. Can you believe she didn't know any of
the information on politics and the environment before she got on the
show? She's hard working and determined, I know she'll go far
in life.
Thais-This
young lady is only a few credit hours away from a college degree in
Mass Communications. While on the show, she was doing quite
well as an agent in Nashville. She has a keen sense of humor
and she's super sweet/fun. Thais was very socially aware, she
knew how to get along with everyone in the house, we all loved her!
Tristin-One
of the smartest beauties of the bunch, I thought it was hilarious
when Chris made the mistake of saying she wasn't very smart, it's
actually the opposite! This girl is hard working, determined,
and also very socially aware. She's got everything going for
her.
Danielle-Did
you guys know that Danielle is in charge of the AV Department of a
library? That's right, this girl has people working for her.
Danielle also had a great sense of humor, she was able to captivate a
crowd with hilarious stories.
Sarah-Sarah
currently works as a dental assistant, she's also going to school to
become a dental hygenist. That mean's she's taking a lot of
hardcore science classes. Dental hygenist programs are super
competitive, you have to make excellent grades to score a spot in
them, so she's not just another pretty face.
Jennipher-Jennipher
graduated from college and is currently persuing a career as an
educator. More than that though, Jenn is really good at seeing
the "big picture" in life. She's very observant (and
funny). There were so many times when Jenn realized the deeper
meanings of things that were going on, she really impressed me.
Brittany-Also
one of the smartest beauties in the bunch. She's very
intelligent socially and she knows how to study. Britt has a
great memory and is and absolute sweetheart. It's so funny to
watch the show...they make her look so silly. But honestly, I
was there, Britt is no dummy. I think she's smarter than I am.
All
that being said, why did I appear smarter?
Well,
to toot my own horn, I'm very good at phrasing things together on the
fly. In my interviews and conversations, I appear very well
spoken. Some have even called me eloquent (that made me feel
warm and fuzzy inside). Anyway, I may appear more intelligent
than I really am because of that.
I was
also way more competitive... with each challenge, I wanted to win, I
poured over the study materials, memorizing silly facts late at night
and cramming before the challenges.
I
wanted to do my best. Before every challenge, I kept thinking
"When will I ever be close to winning $125,000 again? All
I need to do is study these materials! If I fail, I'll never
forgive myself!"
I'm
one of those people that when something goes wrong, I'll scrutinize
every action, agonizing over every single thing that I could have
done differently. I didn't want to leave that experience
knowing that I could have done more. I didn't want to let
myself or Josh down.
That's
all I've got for now. It's very late/early in the morning. Wes
is already asleep and we have to try to get work tomorrow, so I'll
need my beauty sleep.
I'll
leave you with some fun pics!
